The cold has eased a little.
At Chihaya-enchi Park, it has been a little less cold since yesterday.
Today, let's talk about something a little different from the snow.
First up is the witch hazel (Mansaku), which is the earliest flowering at Chihaya-enchi . (photo 1-2)
It'll be a while until the petals are fully open!
The red-flowered witch hazel next to Chiha-star Museum.
It blooms a little later than yellow one, so it might be a while before it blooms. (photo 3)
Hang in there, hang in there!
By the way, at this time of year, the leaves of the rhododendrons (Shakunage) are pointing down like this. (photo 4)
At first glance, I thought it was a pity, so I did a little research and found out that they do this to prevent steam from escaping from leaves and to regulate the amount of photosynthesis by rolling up the leaves.
Amazing! They're doing this without being taught by anyone...
The birds are doing well too!
This Japanese Accentor (Kayakuguri) has recently gotten used to being photographed. (photo 5)
Accentors are not as well known as Tit group.
As the name in Japanese suggests, they hide under the leaves of silver grass, they are usually seen eating seeds that have fallen to the ground. Today, however, they climbed onto a platform and experienced being a model for a photo shoot. They look at the camera with a lovely gaze. ( photo 6)
Speaking of looking at the camera, the Japanese tit also looks great. If they were to look at you in this pose, you would be thrilled. (photo 7-8)
The key points are the tie on their chest and the light green at the base of their wings.
And of course, the squirrel Elizabeth.
She was running energetically in front of the mountain climbers, showing off her cute appearance. (photo 9-10)
Even though the cold has eased, there are still frozen sections of the mountain trail. Please come prepared with snowy mountain gear.
The cute friends of Chihaya Park are waiting for you♪
