10月に入り、さわやかな空気が心地よいちはや園地です。



もうこれだけで映えてるわ・・と思う私ですが、
そうは問屋が卸しません！
ちはや園地には、これでもか！というほどの秋の名物が
たくさんあります♪

まずは・・
その日になってみないと、あるかどうかが分からない人気者。

タマゴタケです。今年は豊作！！
よく「出てる！！！」と発見されるのですが・・
あっという間に開いちゃいます。
前の日に生まれたタマゴタケは、翌日には完全に開ききりまです。
この様子に関しては、去年のブログ↓をご覧下さい。

この他にもキノコがいっぱいですが
こちらはまた別の日にキノコ特集を組みたいと思います♪

次はカケスのお話。
ちはや園地では、カケスが一生懸命クリの実を集めています。
バードウォッチャーさんには「クリカケス」と呼ばれ
秋の風物詩になっています。

今朝も・・
わさわさとクリのイガイガから実を一生懸命撮っているカケスを発見

もう必死！！！(笑)

栗に埋もれかけているカケスさん・・イガイガささっちゃダメよ！

いっぱい集めていますが、すぐには食べずに地面や落ち葉に埋めます。
食べ残した分は、そこから芽が出て
木に成長するという自然のサイクルが出来あがります。

地面でカケスが何やら忙しそうな様子も・・


そんなカケスたちのためにも「動植物の採取」を禁止している
府民の森条例遵守へのご理解・ご協力をお願いいたします。

ちはや園地内での動植物採取・岩石採取は禁じられております。


さて、次は野草。
秋の風物詩で、よくお問い合わせをいただくレイジンソウ。

しゃくなげの路で、きれいに咲いていますよ♪
伶人（舞楽の奏者）が被る冠に花の形が似ていることから
その名がついたレイジンソウ。
薄い紫がなんとも気品を醸し出していて、雅楽が聞こえてきそう！

同じく、しゃくなげの路ではカワチブシも。

キレイですが・・カワチブシとは、トリカブトのこと。
トリカブトにはたくさんの種類があります。
金剛山ではカワチブシと呼びます。
キレイなものには毒がある・・お気を付けください！！



Autumnal scenery one after another~

It's October, and the fresh air is pleasant at Chihaya-enchi Park. (Photo 1-2)

I think this is already a beautiful sight, but
it's not that easy!
Chihaya-enchi has so many autumn specialties as many as you can't count out all of them.

First of all,
Egg mushrooms (Tamago-take), this year is a bumper crop!! (Photo 3)
People often discover them saying "They're here!!!"
but they open in the blink of an eye.
Egg mushrooms born the day before are completely open by the next day.

There are plenty of other mushrooms, but
I'd like to do a mushroom feature on another day♪

Next is the story of the jays.
At Chihaya-enchi, jays are busy collecting chestnuts.
Birdwatchers call them "chestnut jay" and it has become a seasonal feature of autumn. (Photo 4)

This morning too...
I found a jay busy picking up chestnuts from chestnut burrs. (Photo 5-7)
It was so desperate!!! (lol)
The jay looked almost buried in chestnut burrs...don't get stabbed by the prickles!

They collect a lot of chestnuts, but don't eat them right away and bury them in the ground or in fallen leaves.
The ones left over sprout and grow into trees, completing a natural cycle.

For the sake of these jays, we ask for your understanding and cooperation in complying with the Prefectural Forest Ordinance, which prohibits the "collection of plants and animals." (Photo 8)

*Collecting plants and animals, including collecting chestnuts, and rocks is prohibited within Chihaya Park.

Now, next up is wild grass.

A seasonal feature of autumn, Reijinsou (Aconitum loczyanum), which we often receive inquiries about.
They are blooming beautifully on the Shakunage Path♪ (Photo 9)
The name Reijinsou comes from the resemblance of the shape of the flower to the crown worn by reijin (music performers).
The pale purple color is so elegant that you can almost hear gagaku music!
Here's a haiku! (by Ayumi)
I hold my breath,
press a shutter button
toward Reijin-sou

Also on the Shakunage Path, there is Kawachibushi.
It's beautiful, but... Kawachi-bushi means Aconite monkshood (Torikabuto). (Photo 10)
There are many kinds of monkshood.
On Mt. Kongo, they are called Kawachi-bushi.
Beautiful things can be poisonous...so be careful!!
