5/30 ツバメ、ホトトギス
5/30 先日の野鳥観察会の続きで展望台で探してみました。
○今日は、ツバメも沢山飛んでいたため飛んでいる鳥の連射の練習。
大量の撮影でわずかに見られるものを確認したところ、イワツバメとコシアカツバメでした。コシアカツバメはおなかの縦縞もなんとか確認。

○ホトトギスも盛んに鳴いているのですが、なかなか姿を見せません。やっと枝に移動したところをキャッチ。休憩中の姿を撮影できました。
ついでに動画も撮らせてもらいました。
○花は木の花が多くなってきました。カマツカだけでなくミズキも咲き始めました。ミズキの実は野鳥も大好きで秋が楽しみです。

ホトトギスさん、展望台がお好きなようで、別の日にもこんな姿が！
この日はクロツグミの水浴びも目撃されています。
最近よく鳴き声を聞くアオゲラ。まだ若い子のようです。

5/30 Swallows and Lesser Cuckoos
On May 30th, following on from the bird watching event the other day, we looked for swallows (Tsubame) and lesser cuckoos (Hototogisu) at the observation deck.
○ There were a lot of swallows flying today, so I was able to practice taking continuous photos.
After taking a lot of photos, I checked them all and found that the birds were only in a few photos. They were house martins and red-rumped martins. I could see the stripes on their bellies. (Photo 4)

○ I heard the lesser cuckoos singing loudly, but it was really hard to find them. They finally appeared on a branch, so I was able to take a photo of them resting. (Photos 5-6)

○ Flowers are blooming on the trees. Not only Smooth oriental photinia (Kamatsuka) but also dogwoods (Mizuki) have started to bloom.
Wild birds love the fruits of dogwood, so I'm looking forward to autumn.

野鳥観察会
5/26に金剛山野鳥観察会に15名が参加。最近少し野鳥の姿が減ってきたような気がしていますが、晴天に恵まれて楽しみです。
○いつものようにミュージアム前で集合し、いざ出発。
○鳴き声は色々聞こえるのですが姿は見えず。やや焦っていたところロープウェイ駅前で対岸の木に何か動く姿が。緑色の葉の中に何やら緑っぽい姿がみえます。
アオバトです。先ほど声は聞こえたのですがあんな遠いところに居たのですね。
ヤマザクラのサクランボに集まっていたのです。かなり遠いところに緑に緑、動いていないとわかりません。
○四季の谷では木の幹を動き回る素早い動き。なんとか捉えるとキバシリでした。たまに見かけても素早すぎて!! でもなんとかキャッチです。
木の幹と同じ色で動きが速く難しい。
○出発前に鷹の姿を見かけていたので展望台にあがったところ、ホトトギスの鳴き声が近づいてきます。ヒノキの梢に姿が見えました!
めったにない撮影チャンスです。
○その後、キャンプ場でカケスの姿を見つけました。
見ることができた種類は多くなかったのですが、キバシリ、ホトトギスとめったに見ることができない野鳥に出会えてとても楽しい一日でした。

Bird Watching Event
Fifteen people participated in the Mt. Kongo bird watching event on May 26th. It seems like there have been fewer wild bird figures recently, but we were looking forward to seeing them because of the fine weather today.
○As usual, we gathered in front of the museum and set off. (Photo 1-2)
○We could hear various calls, but we couldn't see them. We were getting a little anxious, but then in front of the ex-ropeway station, we saw something moving in a tree on the opposite bank. We could see something green among the green leaves.
It's a green pigeon (Aobato). We had heard its voice earlier, but we surprised that they were so far away. (Photo 3-5)
They were gathering on the cherry fruits of the Yamazakura cherry tree. They were in the green background, and we were hard to see if without their moving.
○At Shiki no Tani Path, we saw something moving quickly around the tree trunks. We managed to confirm them, and it was a Treecreeper (Kibashiri). Even though we sometimes see them, they are too fast!! But we managed to take pictures of them. (Photo 6-7)
They are the same color as the tree trunks, and they move quickly, so it's difficult to look.
○Before we left, we saw a hawk, so we went up to the observation deck to look for the figure, and the call of a Lesser Cuckoo (Hototogisu) approached us. We could see it on the top of a cypress tree!
It was a rare opportunity to take photos. (Photo 8-10)
○Afterwards, we spotted a Jay at the campsite. (Photo 11-13)
Although we weren't able to see many species, it was a very enjoyable day we met rare wild birds such as treecreepers and lesser cuckoos.

すばる学園祭に参加しました！
昨日は大雨予報のため午後から臨時閉園させていただいたちはや園地です。
本日は安全点検を行って開園させていただきます。
さて、去る5月26日(日)、ちは星スタッフが山の上を飛び出して
富田林市・すばるホールでおこなわれた「すばる学園祭」に参加しました。
去年に引き続き、参加は2回目。
展示とワークショップで参加させていただきました。

めっちゃ見えたよ！金剛山麓スターウォッチング！
5月25日(土)、大阪府立金剛登山道駐車場で
金剛山麓スターウォッチングをおこないました。
ちは星から、山を降りて…
口径20センチの反射望遠鏡、
スマート望遠鏡SeestarS50、
操作体験用の経緯台式望遠鏡6台
…が、ずらりと勢揃い！
この日とてもいいお天気で、星もバッチリ見えました
春の大曲線、春の大三角、春の星座をご案内、沈みかけの冬の星座なども。
ちは星から持ってきた望遠鏡では
アルクトゥルス、スピカ、ミザールとアルコルを観ていただきました、
スマート望遠鏡では…
子持ち銀河
回転花火銀河
ソンブレロ銀河
しし座のトリオ銀河
球状星団M13
などたくさん見ていただきました。
さらに、お客様ご自身での望遠鏡操作体験もしていただきました。
めいっぱいの欲張りスターウォッチングとなり、皆さんにも楽しんでいただくことができました。

We saw a lot of celestial bodies! The amazinf star watching at the foot of Mt. Kongo.
Saturday, May 25th at the Osaka Prefectural Kongo Mountain Trail parking lot, we did star watching party at the foot of Mt. Kongo.
We brought many observation gears from the Chiha-star Museum down to foot of the mountain as follows:
A reflecting telescope with a diameter of 20 cm,
Smart telescope SeestarS50, and
6 telescopes for operation experience.
Many great tools got together here! (Photo 1-2)
The weather was very nice that day, and the stars were clearly visible.
We could see many constellations: the Great Spring Curve, the Spring Triangle, the Spring Constellations, and the Winter Constellations that are about to set. (Photo 3)
Through the telescope brought from the Museum,
We watched several bright stars: Arcturus, Spica, Mizar and Alcor. (Photo 4-5)
With a smart telescope, we saw several galaxies:
the Whirlpool galaxy and the kid galaxy (Photo 6),
the Sombrero galaxy (Photo 7),
the Globular cluster M13 (Photo 8).
We saw a lot of celestial bodies like that.
Additionally, participants were able to experience operating the telescope themselves.
It was a full-up star-watching experience, and everyone was satisfied with it as well.

The next starry sky event will be a starry sky observation session at Chiha-Star Museum (at the top of the mountain).
It is scheduled for June 8th and 15th.

Saturday, May 25th at the Osaka Prefectural Kongo Mountain Trail parking lot, we did star watching party at the foot of Mt. Kongo.
