野鳥観察会レポート
1月26日（日）毎月恒例の野鳥観察会を実施しました。
はーい、出発でーす！！
今回も、いつもお写真をご提供いただくTIさま、MTさま、KIさま、
登録職員KYの写真でのレポートです。
ご協力ありがとうございます。
今回の見ものはアオゲラ。
20分近くも場所を変えながらその姿を見せてくれました。
おおお、よく見ると舌がでている！！！
クチバシの先にあるのは・・樹液かな？
緑色（鳥の呼び方ではアオと呼びます）キツツキを見たら・・
今度は赤い子もチェックしなくてはいけませんね。
オオアカゲラ
赤と青が登場したので・・植物だけど黄色もね♪
マンサク
ゆっくり逃げずにお食事に夢中になっているのは・・
カヤクグリです。
葉っぱの下に種があって、一所懸命食べていましたよ。
お食事に夢中になっているルリビタキ。
同じく、一生懸命食べるといえば・・
この日目撃されたイカル。（イルカじゃないよ！）
あまりに一生懸命食べてるもんだから、
枝とかぶってしまい写真を撮るのも一苦労・・
それでもカッコイイ黄色のクチバシを見せてくれました。
初めて参加された方もいらっしゃいましたが、
みなさん野鳥を楽しまれていたご様子でした。

次回の野鳥観察会は、2月23日（日）を予定しております。

The Bird Watching Report
We held our monthly bird watching event on Sunday, January 26th.
Yes, we're off! (Photo 1)
This time, we're reporting with photos from TI, MT, KI, , who always provide us with photos, and a partime worker KY .
Thank you for your cooperation.
(Photos 2-3) The highlight of the day was a green woodpecker (Aogera...ao means blue in Japanese).
It showed up for almost 20 minutes, changing places as it went.
Oh, if you look closely, you can see its tongue sticking out! Is that on the end of its beak... sap?
After seeing a green woodpecker...
Now we have to check out the red one.
(Photo 4) Great spotted woodpecker (Oh-akagera...aka means red in Japanese)
Now that we've seen a red one and a blue ones... it's a plant, but we should also look for yellow♪
(Photo 5) Witch hazel (Mansaku)
(Photo 6) This one is Japanese accentor (Kayakuguri) that's not running away due to busy eating.
There were seeds under the fallen leaves, and the bird was busy eating them with all its might.
(Photo 7) A blue-and-white flycatcher (Ohruri) was busy eating its meal.
(Photos 8-9) Speaking of eating with all their might...
A Japanese Grosbeak (Ikaru) was spotted on the same day.
It was eating so hard that its beak got in the way of the branches, making it hard to take a photo...
But it still showed off its cool yellow beak.
Some people were participating for the first time,
but everyone seemed to enjoy the wild birds.

The next bird watching event is scheduled for Sunday, February 23rd.

1/29 道路と雪の状況
１月２９日・今朝の金剛山麓の道路状況です。
府立駐車場はかなり積もっていて、ノーマルタイヤでは通行できません。
ご注意ください。
ちはや園地の様子です。
動画のほうが雰囲気が伝わりやすいと思いますのでどうぞ
登山にはアイゼン、チェースパイクは必携です。
The mountain trail is completely frozen,
so you will need crampons even from the base.
You cannot climb without crampons.

府立駐車場はかなり積もっていて、ノーマルタイヤでは通行できません。
ご注意ください。

イベントレポート～金剛登山とアニマルトラッキング～
雪の舞っているちはや園地です。
先週はあたたかかったのに・・
というわけで、雪にちなんだイベントレポートを！
～金剛登山とアニマルトラッキング～
毎年大人気のこのイベント。
雪があるかないかで、ガラッと内容もかわります。
先週の気温上昇で雪が融けてしまったところもありましたが
元気にちはや園地までたどり着くと雪は残っていますよ。
早速、ノウサギの足あとを見つけたようです。
アライグマ
これはリスかな？
ハクビシンまで
イタチっぽいぞ・・
これは紛れもなくヤマドリさん！
色んな足あとを発見することが出来ました。
お昼ご飯を挟んで、暖かい室内で、ちはや園地の動物の生態について
スライドなどを交えながら講師の先生のお話を。
外来種も多く生息しているちはや園地の実際も学びました。
ただ単に足あとや糞などといった「動物の痕跡」を探すだけではなく
その行動や生態を深く知ることがこのイベントの目的。
そういう意味では学ぶことも大切なこと。
ちはや園地では、これからも楽しい体験を通して、
すべての生物が支えあってバランスを取りながら生きていく大切さを学び
自ら考えていけるような企画を実施していきたいと考えています。

Event Report - Kongo Mountain Climbing and Animal Tracking
January 26th, Snow is falling around Chihaya Park.
It was warm last week...
So, here is a report on a snow-related event!
- Mt. Kongo Climbing and Animal Tracking-
This event is very popular every year.
The content changes drastically depending on whether there is snow or not.
The snow melted in some places due to the rise in temperature this time, but when we arrived at Chihaya-enchi Park, there remained snow still there. (Photo 1)
(Photos 2-3) It seems that they found the footprints of a hare soon.
(Photo 4) Raccoon's footprints
(Photo 5) Is this squirrel's?
(Photo 6) Even a palm civet's.
(Photo 7) It looks like a weasel's...
(Photo 8) This is definitely a copper pheasant's!
We were able to find various animals' footprints.
After lunch, we went inside the warm room and listened to the lecturer talk about the ecology of the animals at Chihaya-enchi Park, using slides and other materials.
We also learned about the reality of Chihaya-enchi Park, where many invasive species live.
The purpose of this event is not simply to look for "animal traces" such as footprints and droppings,
but to gain a deeper understanding of animal behavior and ecology.
In that sense, learning is also important.
At Chihaya-enchi Park, we would like to continue to implement projects that allow people to learn through fun experiences and think for themselves about the importance of all living things living in balance, supporting each other.

イベントレポート～オリジナルカイロづくり～
1月は大賑わいで楽しい声がこだましたちはや園地。
イベントもたくさん実施しました。
順にイベントレポートをさせていただきますね♪
第1段は・・
ホカホカ実験工作～オリジナルカイロづくり～
酸化ってなんだろう？
砂鉄と鉄粉の違いは？
バーミキュライトってどんな風に生活で活かされてるの？
など生活に密着したカイロづくりを通じて学びます。
鉄が燃えるか？の実験。
鉄粉と砂鉄を使った熱の実験。
参加された方には興味がたくさん！
仕組みがわかったところで、いよいよカイロづくり！！
かわいくデコったり、模様やこだわりの数式を書いたり
受験生のお姉ちゃんに「がんばれ」の気持ちを込めて作ったり…
こういうのって、なんかいいなぁ
素敵なイベントになりました。

In January, Chihaya-enchi Park has been bustling with lively voices.
We held many events.
I will report on the events in order♪
The first one is...
Warming Experimental Crafts - Making Your Own Heat packs.
What is oxidation?
What is the difference between iron sand and iron powder?
How is vermiculite used in daily life?
We learned about these topics through making heat packs that are closely related to daily life.
(Photo 1) An experiment to see if iron burns.
(Photo 2) An experiment on heat using iron powder and iron sand.
Participants were very interested!
Now that they understand how it works, it's time to make a heat pack!! (Photos 3-5)
They decorated it cutely, wrote patterns and their own mathematical formulas, and made it with the hope of encouraging their older sister who is taking exams... (Photos 6-8)
This kind of thing is kind of nice
It was a wonderful event.

でも、やっぱり寒い！
今朝のちは星前には、ツララが出来ていました。
雪もかなり溶けて心配していましたが・・・
雪は少ないとはいえ残ってます！
そして足跡も！
というわけで…

On Sunday, January 26th, we will be holding the "Mt. Kongo Climbing and Animal Tracking" event as scheduled ✌️(Poster 1)
Assembly: 10 am at the "Ropeway" busstop
Dismissal: 2 pm at Chihaya-ench
Fee: 500 yen
Bring crampons, towels, and your lunch
Reservations are required. Reservations will be accepted until 15:30 today (January 25th) only by phone.
To apply, please contact the Chihaya Museum of Nature and Stars (0721740056).
Tomorrow we will also be holding a bird watching event. (Poster 2)

Fee: 100 yen (Insurance)
Bring your lunch.
